Cookie Policy

The short answer
ReStory Wiki uses Google Analytics to measure visits and interactions. Google Analytics may set first-party cookies or use similar identifiers to distinguish visits and prepare traffic reports. The site also stores one local browser preference that remembers when the cookie notice has been dismissed.
Google Analytics
The Google tag loads when a page opens. It may record page views, scrolls, outbound-link clicks, referring pages, device and browser information, approximate location, and other enabled measurement events. ReStory Wiki uses these reports to understand which guides are useful and where the site can be improved; it does not use the tag to collect form submissions because the site has no forms or account system.
Visitors can restrict or clear Analytics cookies through their browser settings. Google also provides its own controls and privacy information for Google Analytics. Blocking the tag or its cookies may reduce the accuracy of the site's traffic reports without preventing access to the guides.
Dismissing the notice
Choosing Dismiss on the cookie notice stores the value dismissed under the local storage key restory-wiki:cookie-notice. This lets the same browser hide the notice on later visits. It does not send a redemption code, game data, player statistics, or personal profile to ReStory Wiki.
Managing the preference
A visitor can clear local storage or site data in browser settings to remove the dismissal preference. After it is removed, the notice can appear again. Browser controls differ by device and browser, so readers should use their browser's own help material for instructions.
Other tracking
The site has no account system, advertising tag, or embedded social-media widget. External links may lead to services that use their own cookies or storage after a visitor leaves ReStory Wiki. Those services are independent, and their policies apply on their own pages.
Changes to this policy
If a future site feature changes the local storage or cookie behavior, this policy will be updated before or with that change. The date above records when this explanation was last reviewed. For the broader information-practice summary, read the Privacy Policy.
